Detailed Itinerary of the 6-Day Siroua Trek

Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi n’Tichka Pass – Tamlakout – Tamazirt

Morning transfer from Marrakech across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m). We enjoy lunch in Tamlakout, a charming village and small oasis in the heart of the valley. Here, we meet our local muleteer team before starting a 2-hour walk to Tamazirt village. Night in tents. (Drive duration: approx. 5 hours | Walking time: 2 hours)

Day 2: Tamazirt – Ait Tigga – Ait Ighmour Valley – Maous Plateau

We cross a scenic hilly plateau cultivated with barley and wheat, heading towards Ait Tizouad village where we stop for lunch. In the afternoon, we ascend into the Ait Ighmour Valley and continue to our campsite on the Maous Plateau. Night in tents. (Walking time: 5.5 hours)

Day 3: Maous Plateau – Mount Siroua Summit (3,305m) – N’Tizgui

Today features the summit ascent of Mount Siroua (3,305m), a rewarding climb without technical difficulty. At the top, we enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Toubkal range, Jebel Saghro, and Jebel Bani. After lunch prepared by our cook, we descend to our campsite near the river. Night in tents. (Walking time: 6.5 hours)

Day 4: Azib N’Tizgui – Tagouyamt Valley

We descend to the picturesque village of Tizgui to visit its famous historic collective granaries (Agadir) carved into the cliff face. Continuing down the Tagouyamt Valley, we pass lush terraced gardens where saffron is harvested. Night in tents. (Walking time: 5 hours)

Day 5: Tagouyamt – Tislit – Ihoukarn – Ifrane

Our trek crosses a wide plateau leading to the scenic villages of the Tislit Valley. We enjoy lunch near Ihoukarn village and take time to interact with local Berber villagers before finishing our hike in Ifrane. Night in a traditional local guesthouse (Gîte). (Walking time: 5.5 hours)

Day 6: Ifrane – Tizi n’Test Pass – Asni – Marrakech

After breakfast and saying goodbye to our muleteer team, our private transport takes us back towards Marrakech via the dramatic Tizi n’Test Pass (2,100m). We stop for lunch in the mountain town of Asni before completing our drive back to Marrakech. (Drive duration: approx. 5.5 hours)
